Looking for intellectual community? Join us on Monday evenings to talk about the great works of literature and philosophy. In November and December we read and discuss Leo Tolstoy’s short fiction. The format is simple: read the assigned story and come to class with a question about what you read.
- November 2nd – “The Two Old Men”
- November 9th – “How Much Land Does a Man Need?”
- November 16th – “The Forged Coupon”
- November 23rd – “Master and Workman”
- November 30th – “The Death of Ivan Ilyich”
- December 7th – Hadji Murad (I-XII)
- December 14th – Hadji Murad (XIII-end)
The time for each class is 5:30-6:45, and the location is 1106 Harris Ave., Suite 307. Every story is widely available in multiple translations.
