Join us for an in-person seminar on Wendell Berry’s stories “The Girl in the Window” (1864) and “The Hurt Man” (1888). This seminar is open to teenagers and adults. Please complete the assigned reading before class and come prepared with a question about the reading.

These stories can be found in Berry’s story collections A Place in Time and That Distant Land, but participants are encouraged to purchase the Library of America edition of his collected stories and novels, which collects them in one volume. If you cannot locate a copy of these books in time, write to info@fairhavenprogram.org. Please bring a paper copy of the reading to class.
